Sorry for the lack of posts, Barritt. Your wittiness at such a young age is scaring some us older folks. But I do have to say, what a handsome young man you are! Mom and Dad must be very proud!
I can't wait to get up in your wedding 2nd cousin Nat. I think it's going to be my first. Hopefully I won't have to wear one of those baby dresses. I'm thinking black diaper and black bow tie.

Mom and I have been arguing--ne, bantering--about the spelling of the shortened version of "pacifier." As a result of my Italian roots, I assert that "paci", as you have it written under your beautiful photo, should be pronounced "pah-chi". Mom says that's a hair on the pretentious side, claiming that I'm showing affectation at an early age, which quite frankly I think she's concerned about. She wonders about the more phonetic spelling, "passy", but recognizes the problems with that one as well.
Anyway, just wanted to drop in and say hi and hope you're having a swell time, pun intended, sur la plage.

yeah, well, if I was Julius Caesar, the original Italian and inventor of the C-section, I would pronounce it 'Paki' which is derogatory in most parts of the UK for those of various Indian descent (cf. The Office, Season I, Episode I). Remember, Latin has a hard C, but your mom and dad could tell you that because they went to Charlotte Latin, which I propose should be pronounced "Kaharlot Latin" for the sake of consistency.
Jack, of the Maine Smith's, called his a kaya. Interesting to note that the Spanish word to knock out is: kayo. Pacify, knock out, same difference.
